Pakistan: Former JI Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad Passes Away

Former Jumaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad has passed away today in Islamabad after struggling against a heart attack.
According to news sources,  Qazi Hussain Ahmad’s funeral will be offered today in Peshawar.
Ahmad was suffering from heartdisease from quite some time but yesterday’s morning his condition got worse and was admitted to Norooz hospital. Doctors tried a lot but in the evening his situation got even more worse. He had a heart attack in the night and evventually at 1:20 AM he died.
Ahmad died at the age of 74.
Qazi Ahmed, who was head of the JI for almost 22 years, had decided to step down from his post in 2009.
