An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in Bhopal on Sunday, Jan 6. The girl, a first year engineering student, shocked all with her suicide note in which she wished cricketer Virat Kohli to play well and prove himself a better cricketer.

Expecting Kohli to achieve many more milestones in his cricket career, the girl reportedly wrote, “Kohli is a fine cricketer who would create many records in the future.“

Bhopal police informed that the girl hailed from Bina and was studying in a private engineering college in Bhopal. She was found dead in her rented house in the city.

Police said that the young girl ended her life by hanging self. According to her family members, she was suffering from stomach ache. However, it was not clear what prompted her to end life. A police official was quoted as saying, “She was a fan of Virat Kohli and has mentioned this in the handwritten note.” The girl wished that her family members inform Kohli that she was his fan if they ever meet him in the future.

The girl committed suicide when Team India won a match against Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Team India lost the first two matches to Pakistan during the ongoing Indo-Pak one day series.
