Piaget Emperador Coussin XL Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater Timepiece
Swiss watchmaker, Piaget has always been an inventive horological force, rightly preferred by the choicest patrons of exclusive watches. This SIHH 2013, they are set to create a new record by introducing the thinnest movement of its kind. When the brand was launched back in the day, it was famed for its thin mechanical movements, an invention they are now revisiting. This automatic watch boasts of the world’s thinnest minute repeater movement in the caliber 1290P.
Another unique feature is that instead of a dial, the watch provides a skeletal view of the exciting movement with rose gold hour markers to indicate the time. The case back reveals the gold micro-rotor of the automatic winding system. Crafted from 18K rose gold, the case is 48mm wide and the entire watch just 9.4mm thin. For connoisseurs of historical and path breaking watches, the search ends with this one.
