They proactively release annual results for BEI for the purpose of informing the quality results or production of employees of whatever companies, countries, and even industries. It’s a common knowledge that English is the next best and comfortable language that anyone uses in order to communicate to other non-native English Speakers. The basis for the results were completely done according the scale ratio of 1 to 10, which is really basic that covers the kind of learners from beginners up to advanced English skills. Its impact is one of the contributing factors for the progress of any nation as a whole collectively. On this latest result, you would find the top 10 countries in business English proficiency for 2012:

10. Singapore

It is known for its quality education because they are focused in employing people who would be competent in producing excellent results. In fact, Singapore is strictly implementing an EOP (English Only Policy) in giving instructions in schools and work places. In fact, majority of the students in Singapore are being taught in British Language. It was even included among the 163 countries that took the TOEFL and they ranked 3. It got 5.53 Index results that put this country to number 10 spot.

9. Lithuania

It received a 5.55 Index result, putting it to number 9 ranking for the top 10 countries in business English proficiency for 2012. They have adapted the North American approach in implementation of educational system . In fact, they are active in organizing summer classes and course in lieu with their progress in speaking the language fluently. They make and issue certifications for proficiency and fluency for both Lithuanian and English language.

New Delhi is the very heart and center of India where most of the people could get much of literacy that they need. In fact, India was known for its association under British colony based on the history where they have actually adapted a similar English tone or accent. Its BEI result is 5.57, and  it is one of the major BPOs in Asia.

7. Malaysia

Despite of the unfamiliarity and feeling of awkwardness of some citizens in Malaysia in using the English language, there is a great improvement in large measure, amidst the fact that they are much comfortable in their native tongue, Bahasa Malaysia. Hence, with the help of their political leaders who are helping them to have a soft landing or transition in the daily usage of the English language wherein  it is used in teaching various subjects in schools and not just an option, but a mandate. It got 6.09 BEI score for this year’s results.

6. Australia

Australian government is very strict when it comes to immigration through visa applications, wherein they require people or individuals to submit an evidence or certification of English Proficiency or to take an English Language proficiency exam. They are strongly enforcing the International English Language Testing Systems or better known as IELTS that makes them consistent in the inclusion of the top 10 countries as to business English proficiency. It got 6.17 Index result, which proves their competence in business English despite that they are one of the English speaking countries in the world.

5. Slovenia

Its BEI result is 6.19, and it’s no wonder because of their rigid programs in their educational system which they are highly implementing throughout the country. They are implementing various exams according to English level comprehension and communication. In fact, it has improved for the last 25 years and it’s a good indicator after all the programs that they have administered and would be administering in the future.

4. Serbia

It got 6.38 BEI score. In fact, they have highly educated teachers, wherein students could be taught and learn English once or twice a week.
