Christina Hendricks is “very protective” of her marriage. The ‘Mad Men’ actress – who tied the knot with actor Geoffrey Arend in 2009 – says her union is “beautiful” and she does whatever it takes to prevent problems between them. She said:”Married life has been as beautiful as I imagined. “I feel I’ve grown closer to him and we’re sharing so much every day in terms of how we feel and how we see our lives moving forward together.

“I’m more aware now of making sure silly things never cause problems between us and being very protective of our time with each other.” Christina, 37, first met Geoffrey, 35, in 2007 and was smitten with him straight away. She recalled to The Sun newspaper: “There was something very striking about him when I first saw him, and I knew I was very intrigued and attracted to him.

“I was able to get his number on a pretext and then over the next few weeks and months we began seeing each other and at one point we knew it was right between us.” And the red-haired beauty admits Geoffrey’s proposal was one of the most “perfect” moments of her life. She said: “Geoffrey proposed to me in a very traditional way on one knee, with flowers all over the house, and my favourite song playing. It was one of those perfect moments.”
