10. Sachin Tendulkar
A lot of people might not know his middle name, Ramesh, but what they do is that he is considered the best batsman in the world. With more than 650 international cricket matches under his belt, Sachin was also the first batsman in the world to make more than 34000 runs in his lifetime. He has set records in both ODIs and test cricket. He was the first to make a double century in ODI and has won the match and series 60 and 14 times, respectively. In test cricket, he has earned the title 14 and 3 times respectively.
9. Sir Don George Bradman
Also known as “The Don”, Bradman earned a record average in test batting of 99.94. This is also the highest relative to all major sports. He made his debut when he was just a teen and soon went on to become Australia’s No. 1 idol in sports. He is also the first Aussie to have a museum devoted to his life. He made it to the IIC Hall of Fame in 2009.

8. Jacques Henry Kallis
This South African has been called the best all-rounder. He’s a right-hand batsman and has more than 150 test cricket matches and 320 ODIs under his belt. He has made a total of more than 13000 runs in test and more than 11000 in ODIs. His wickets stand at more than 270 and 280 is ODIs and test respectively.
7. Imran Khan
Imran, a Pakistani national, played cricket for about two decades and was hailed as Pakistan’s best captain which he first became in 1982. His captaincy was what led his country to win the World Cup in 1992. He earned the Wisden Cricketer of the Year title in 1983.
6. Brian Charles Lara
This West Indian made his debut in the world of cricket in the 90s. He has earned several records and his best individual score has been 501 runs and not out. He had the lead when it came to the most runs in test cricket but was beaten by Tendulkar in 2008.

He was considered one of the best fast bowlers and played in Pakistan. He has been awarded the Man-of-the-Match title 104 and 22 times in test cricket and ODIs respectively.
4. Ricky Thomas Pointing
This Aussie player has been regarded as one of the best batsmen and the most victorious captain of all times. He is known as the captain with the record of winning the highest number of World Cups.
3. Kapil Dev Ramlal Nikhanj
He was captain of the Indian team in 1983 when the country won the World Cup. ICC has bestowed him with the highest score ever to be given to an all-rounder, 631.
2. Shane Warne
This Aussie has been known as one of the best bowlers in cricket and has won the title of the highest number of test runs made without a century.
1. Muttiah Muralitharan
This Sri Lankan made his debut in 1992 and surpassed the Shane Warne’s record of highest wickets to be taken in test cricket.
