But even the Jaegers are proving almost defenseless in the face of the persistent Kaiju. On the brink of defeat, the forces protecting humanity have no option but to turn to two improbable heroes–a washed up former aviator (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)–who are teamed to drive a renowned but apparently outdated Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as humanity’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

According to Frank Miller’s newest visual novel Xerxes and informed in the spectacular visual design of the hit “300,” this new section of the legendary saga takes the actions to a fresh battleground–on the sea–as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) tries to combine all of Portugal by leading the cost that may change the course of the battle. “300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the huge invading Persian forces headed by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful leader of the Persian navy.
