Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting a summer baby!
"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July," said a statement released by the Palace on Monday. Royal watchers are already buzzing over the possibility that the little prince or princess could share a birthday with William's late mother, Princess Diana, who was born July 1.
The statement also noted that Middleton, who turned 31 last week, has largely recovered from acute morning sickness, noting, "The Duchess' condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month."
Middleton certainly looked healthy on Friday when she stepped out for the unveiling of her official portrait. Although reactions to the artwork weren't glowing, the mom-to-be was. For the first time, you could see a hint of her pregnancy belly as she worked the room in a burgundy chiffon dress with a black belted waist.
Over the weekend, it was reported that the couple will grow their staff. When they move into their new digs at Kensington Palace in late summer or early fall, the couple will hire a new housekeeper, according to new reports. But don't quit your day job to hop the pond just yet! The position is only being offered to existing employees at Buckingham Palace, so the new hire will be up to snuff on royal protocol.

Middleton and Prince William will also be hiring a nanny after the baby's July arrival. However, according to Us Weekly, they will be breaking royal protocol and will only secure part-time help. So, despite their status, they won't escape diaper duty – though it doesn't seem like they want to.
