LeAnn Rimes reveals she contemplated suicide at height of depression
LeAnn Rimes has confessed that she contemplated suicide during her darkest days while suffering from depression.
The 30-year-old country music star checked into rehab last August for anxiety and stress amid continuing criticism over her affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian.
The couple, who married in April 2011, got together in 2009 while filming Lifetime TV movie Northern Lights, while both married to other people.
Opening up: LeAnn Rimes spoke to Nancy O'Dell on Entertainment Tonight where she admitted she has contemplated suicide during the height of her depression
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, which will air on Wednesday evening, Rimes opened up again about her infidelity - and admitted she considered taking her own life during the height of the criticism.
Asked by presenter Nancy O'Dell if she ever considered ending it all during her bout of depression, she replied: 'Of course, I think anybody could.
'I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep. I worried that was a possibility [but] I know I would never.'
LeAnn also went on to talk about her current marriage and asked by O'Dell if she was worried Eddie might be unfaithful to her, she suggested it was a concern.

Both her and 39-year-old Cibrian were married to other people when they started their fling, she to Dean Sheremet and he to Brandi Glanville, who now stars in Bravo reality show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.
Rimes explained about her infidelity fears: 'I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn’t say yes, and I have at times.'
She admitted Cibrian has the same concerns over her.
'Speaking for him, I would actually say that’s creeped into his [mind].
'I think we’ve been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other.'
