‘Deception’ Actor Victor Garber Comes Out As Gay

He may not have gotten the chance to come out on the world stage, but Victor Garber gave a much quieter confirmation last week, that yes, he’s gay.
Hollywood blogger Greg Hernandez posted the scoop on his site “Greg in Hollywood” on Monday, after catching up with the actor (now starring on NBC’s “Deception”) at last week’s Television Critics Association confab. After noticing that Garber’s Wikipedia page (never a truly solid source of information) mentioned that he lived with his male companion of 13 years, Hernandez decided to ask the actor about it.
“I couldn’t help wondering: ‘Did he come out and I missed it?’” Hernandez wrote.
So, the journalist asked the actor, “Wikipedia lists Rainer Andreesen as your partner. I wondered if that’s something that’s public, that you’ve confirmed.”
“I don’t really talk about it but everybody knows,” Garber replied, then adding, “He’s going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards.”
Garber also currently stars in “Argo,” which has a lot of Oscar momentum following its big Best Picture – Drama win at the Golden Globes on Sunday, and he played Jennifer Garner’s character’s dad for years on the hit J.J. Abrams ABC series, “Alias.” So, the actor is clearly tight with “Argo” director Ben Affleck and his beautiful wife.
‘It’s such a gratification because of my relationship with Ben (Affleck) and Jennifer (Garner) to see him emerge now as one of the great directors which I’ve always felt since ‘Gone Baby Gone,’” Garber told Hernandez. “To be a part of it is like the icing on the cake. It’s incredibly thrilling for me. And the fact that people love the movie so much means the world.”-Yahoo
